This day is celebrated globally on July 7th, and it’s a perfect occasion to explore the rich history of chocolate, from its ancient Mesoamerican origins to its global popularity today. You can learn more about the history of World Chocolate Day here.
In honor of this sweet day, we’re sharing a special recipe from UP Faith & Family’s exclusive hit, Sweet on You. This film stars the multitalented Haylie Duff and Just Jake star actor/ musician Rob Mayes. ‘Sweet on You’ tells the heartwarming story of Kate (played by Duff), a small-town pie shoppe owner who leads a sweet and simple life. Her world is turned upside down when city boy Drew (played by Rob Mayes) comes to town to claim land he’s just inherited – land that would allow him to build tract homes straight through Kate’s business. While Kate struggles with the recent loss of her mother and the threat to her livelihood, Drew finds his heart trapped between his family’s wishes and a chance at love. The film also stars the lovely Marla Sokoloff, of Full House fame, who has also appeared in the Up Faith & Family film, Flower Girl.
Now, let’s dive into the delicious recipe shared by Haylie Duff herself, which was created by the film’s culinary producer/ food stylist Angela Boccouzzi Gaines.
